The midfielder is currently away at the African Cup of Nations, but that has not put off a number of suitors from the Premier League
Chelsea and Everton are in talks with Atalanta over a potential deal for Franck Kessie, but Goal understands no price has been agreed for the midfielder dubbed 'the next Yaya Toure'.
Man City ready Oblak bid
Kessie is open to a move to the Premier League, but the Serie A side do not want to lose another midfielder in January, having already loaned Roberto Gagliardini to Inter.
Atalanta are holding out for £30 million for the Ivory Coast international, who is currently at the African Cup of Nations, while Chelsea and Everton both value the midfielder at around £22 million. Meanwhile, Manchester United are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old, but Juventus have withdrawn their interest.
The Blues have thus far failed to bring anyone into the club during the January window, but have sold both Oscar and John Obi Mikel to Chinese Super League clubs. Manager Antonio Conte has already stated that his side are “not close" to making signings in January but he is thought to have asked his board to try and bring in some new faces, including Swansea City striker Fernando Llorente.
Meanwhile, Everton have had more success, the Toffees have signed Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United and Ademola Lookman from Charlton Athletic.
